Parents with guns would have solved this a lot faster, and would have saved some of their children doing so. Possibly some of them might have died trying to save their children; any parent worth the name would.
I had my doubts about this tale. But the Wall Street Journal seems to have it (from the mother herself ...) and WSJ is among the least-worst of the main media platforms.

I think they were in a different room in the school, and so perhaps somewhat remote to the shooting site. That said, I completely understand. Especially given that the school was masonry construction, there was little excuse for a very rapid evacuation of other classrooms besides those involved and in immediate proximty to the one with the shooter.
