Cashiers is a pleasant little town, but it’s weird because it’s an ongoing culture clash. I went through the grocery store there, and at one point there was a young woman going one way dressed in hunting camo and boots, and two going the other way talking with vocal fry about their drinking plans for the afternoon. About half the people you meet are good old boys, and the other half rich people from Atlanta or Florida who bought a second home at the first real mountains they found headed north.
How'd you like Cashiers? I was up through there Friday.
