I'm struggling toward an insight, though. It's . . . almost as if a white GOP voter were considering the policy positions of a candidate instead of the color of his skin. But that's crazy talk. Only a racist would think that way.
One of the most pernicious forms of racism is to manufacture a racist beef where none exists.

I grunted through that fivethirtyeight piece. Every word of it is wholly irrational, including "and" and "the." BWDIK--I'm just a dumb, cowboy racist from Texas.
