Yeah, daily data I've been collecting from World-o-Meters since mid-July suggests that the new case rate (different from the new infection rate) peaked in late August, and the death rate may have peaked last week; although it's much to soon to take the drop from the last week as more than noise.
It's also interesting to see that, despite the attempts to manufacture panic over the latest surge-lette, this rise and fall never came near the peak last January.
