AVI had a visitor the other day who was trying to argue that Trump supporters were unaccountably overlooking all the things they claimed to hate four years ago. She didn't give any examples and I couldn't think what she was referring to, but I guess one area would be "splashing infrastructure overspending." Not that that's a good reason to withdraw support from Trump, considering that Rs may be as bad as Ds on the subject but are no worse, which leaves the other dozen or so standard party positions to break the tie. I'm still giving the decision to Trump over Clinton on judicial confirmations, regulatory relief, and border security.
I say that as a strongly pro-immigration voter. I'd go for higher immigration levels, but whatever they are, I'd like to see them enforced. This chaos and paralysis is plain silly.
