...And Then There Were Seven

Molly Hemingway, yesterday:
For more than year and half, the media have gone all-in on reporting every possible angle of President Donald Trump’s alleged collusion with Russia.... But as the Russian collusion story disintegrates, another interesting story ascends. Investigations by multiple congressional committees as well as an investigation by the inspector general of the Department of Justice have shown irregularities in the handling of the most politically sensitive probes...

These investigations have resulted in the firing, demotion, and reassignment of at least six top officials at the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Department of Justice. And all of those personnel changes were made before even the first official reports and memoranda from these investigations were made public.
Emphasis added.

Today, in the Washington Post:
A Justice Department official who helped oversee the controversial probes of Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server and Russian interference in the 2016 election stepped down this week.

David Laufman, an experienced federal prosecutor who in 2014 became chief of the National Security Division’s Counterintelligence and Export Control Section, said farewell to colleagues Wednesday. He cited personal reasons.
Probably just a meaningless coincidence.

  1. IMO, this is going to boil down to one of two outcomes.
Either a former president and a presidential contender are going to face criminal charges, or they won't.
If they do, expect it to precipitate a civil war as the left goes absolutely bug nuts crazy.
If they don't, it will green light the presidential use of the federal agencies to openly suppress any activity, political or otherwise, that they want, with no repercussions.

HRC will be in jail once Trum is President.

If the DS wants to get rid of Trum, he'd be in a body bag like JFK was, but they don't necessarily want to get rid of Trum because he is useful.

CW2 is inevitable, but that is old news from me. Been greenlit since COINTELPRO and FDR, if not before.

It's hard to imagine the Leftist alliance as ever being sane.

  4. What I'm having trouble understanding is people like my brother, who are normally highly rational and intelligent, and not completely partisan (fancies himself a moderate) are refusing to see the pattern emerging. I think it's undeniable at this point, we have enough facts to know there's something not good, and just need more facts to get the specifics. People like my brother continue to deny there's an issue... I'm stumped. I keep trying to test myself for bias that would alter my view, but I come back to the facts pointing in the direction of malfeasance at the bureaucracies.
