Shopping

I think I'll swing by the store and pick up a loaf of bread this evening...

Oh, good. They have one.

UPDATE:

State of the Union -- everybody buys out the bread, nobody buys flour and yeast.

Reminds me of a song. Wonder if it's still true?

    I'd just call it convenient.
    Sad, but convenient.

    William sends.

Was that because of delivery stopped due to winter storm conditions? For longer lasting supply interruptions, consider the Chavista paradise :Venezuela shortages.

We've been on light supplies out here, because of problems elsewhere. Amazing how fast the produce section thins out when you can't get things from Florida and the ports inland.

I'd go for tortillas, but that's me being lazy.

  4. I think it's because, Gringo, everyone in town was ahead of me in line.

Heh. Funny, I've baked my own bread for going on 25 years now.

  6. About the same for me. It's really not hard, and it's so much better than the marshmellow-like stuff you get in the store.

  7. It would seem that there are fewer 'country boys' than there used to be, perhaps.
