So it turns out that the lead singer of this group is Irish, making her knowledge of the bodhran less mysterious. However, given the rarity of Rockabilly outside of the United States, it’s possible that she herself has made it a noted instrument in the French genre.
Don't often see a bodhran in this kind of music.

ReplyDeleteI played a casino show once, long ago, with that kind of bass player. Only other time I have ever seen something so comparably smooth.
(That gig cracked my cello because of the backstage cold, but that's another story)
