Oh! This is cool! Love Social Distortion, and a lot of his songs with them would be great in this genre.
Yeah, I felt the same way. The Rolling Stones once did a version of "Honky Tonk Woman" called "Country Honk" that was also a clear improvement -- for those of us who love the style.
Reminds me of Old 97s. I'll have to look for RS's Country Honk.
