Granted, fall down here may last a month, week, or happen intermittently between October and February. Still it was a great day to take the DR out. This is on the Brazos river.
We get some subtle color from the grass, but the brightest leaves are on the Chinese tallow trees.

The full name is the Rio Brazos de Dios - the Arms of God.
It’s close to ‘the embrace of God’. Apparently there were issues about finding drinking water thereabouts in early days.
