Reminds me....there is a socialist professor named Bertell Ollman who, years ago, developed a board game called "Class Struggle." He wound up making it himself, and his description of the psychological impact of becoming a businessman is interesting....see the March 24, 1979 Op-Ed.
I think he is suffering from a fundamental misunderstanding....much of the psychological stress he describes is something that occurs with everybody that has to earn their living outside of certain privileged institutions. A Soviet factory manager, even after the end of the Stalin era, would have experienced largely the same kind of stresses that Ollman observed in himself.
