"Putting up a sign saying his farm is a coyote or feral hog free zone should do the trick, huh?"

Those are two species that aren't in much danger of extinction. Someday we'll regret killing off the red and gray wolves who might have helped us out with that project.

Humans have to keep animal populations in check.

Angels, the elohim, and the Divine Counsel have to keep the human civilizations in check via similar methods.

Usually the methods are subtle ways to move people along free will vectors and choices, but sometimes a Culling is needed and required.

  2. We have tons of feral hogs and coyotes here. I wouldn't dream of trying to stamp them out. We put our cats up at night.

  3. I had until last week a very friendly rabbit -- for a wild rabbit -- who lived about the house. I thought he might be in danger, because he was willing to endure my company without fleeing the yard. Sure enough, I found his remains the other day.

But I think it was a bobcat that got him. The coyotes here mostly stay over the ridge, which is owned by the bears.

  4. I was happily wrong! It must have been another rabbit. My friendly one turned up tonight.
