Who programmed those things? Were they thinking that someone might accidentally cycle their lamp through two cycles of off-for-two, on-for-eight seconds, so they should make it three cycles to be sure you don't accidentally restart?!? I can't even begin to figure out how you make programming decisions like that.
But I won't have to worry about it, as I don't have any of those either.
Remember when all you needed to know when replacing a light bulb was the wattage?
There's a faster way to reset such a furshlugginer bulb. Put it in a paper sack, put the sack on the floor, then stomp on the sack.
