    Most of this stuff is just Norse history, perhaps when they left the Tower of Babel and were recording the stories of the Pre Divine Flood.

    Loki is a very close archetype to Azazael, which are stories derived from 1st Enoch's record of the Days of Jared and the time when humanity got too many goodies from the Watchers.

    The usual counter is that "if these ancient texts are actually history books, then why does the Book of Genesis talk about waters in heaven and the Firmament and pillars"...
