But the one about Hilary Clinton announcing that the time for civility is after Democrats regain power is, unfortunately, not made up.

ReplyDeleteSigh. Sometimes I think everyone but me knows how to create a GIF and drop it into a comment.

Yes, but I tried to make a little 5-second GIF out of it that I could drop right into a comment. I don't know how. I can do it on FB, but the comment bar has a button, and then you have to choose from their list. I managed to find a site that would let me clip 5 seconds from a YouTube video and make it into a GIF, but I don't know how to put the GIF into a comment.

ReplyDeleteIf this works, it's the URL for the GIF itself, which I took from the whole [URL=... thingie in your earlier comment. I don't think Google's blog facility allows moving GIFs (or if it does, I'm as helpless as you). I'm not sure it even allows still images.

Being a hater of progress, Blogger’s lack of functionality here is one of my favorite things about the platform.
ReplyDeleteThe [ ... ] tags are markup for specific platforms. They are not transferable to platforms that don't use that style of markup. I wonder if using standard HTML would work here.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid that would require me to know what standard HTML was! Well, I didn't really want to start putting cute GIFs here and drive everyone crazy. I was just annoyed that FB has its own little list of the GIFs it prefers, and reflexively started to look for alternatives when communicating with my more GIF-friendly neighbors.
