The first thing that popped into my head when North was identified on the screen was "lying to congress".If the NRA wants to step into this fight, surely there is a better person to be the face of their campaign?
I suppose the optics are there, but I’ve met North in Iraq. He’s a good guy who sincerely cares about soldiers and Marines. His passion here is not fake, though it’s not clear what the connection is between cynical Congressfolk and dying Marines.
