Today's Great Debate

Well, it's understandable why the pace of reporting on more substantive issues has slowed.

  1. That may be the most substantive debate the media has had about Trump.

  4. Sometimes I wonder if the man is not simply brilliant in getting the Left all torqued up about his tweets, such that they don't actually seem able to focus on substantive issues.

  5. That would be a more likely explanation if he were successfully moving his agenda while they were distracted.

  6. I think it's more that sometimes he's just trolling the NLMSM, and they're too self-absorbed to recognize the trolling from the chaff from the substance.

  7. It would be one thing if it were just a lot of people poking fun at him for "covfefe" on social media. But when CNN is devoting airtime to a typo (see https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DBMy42fXYAAWrb6.jpg), then yes, I wonder if they're not just getting played. Because they're putting their attention and focus onto trivialities like this, and people SEE that they're doing so. It weakens their claims of impartiality and objectivism, as well as making them terrible unserious.
