Last week, a driver in Stockholm completed the latest in a series of Islamist murders by truck, the most famous being in Nice, France. The local paper has come to
the obvious conclusion.
Cars and other vehicles “have turned into deadly weapons”, and should be banished from cities to stop attacks like the one in Stockholm from happening in future, according to Aftonbladet editorialist Eva Franchell.
Yes, we should ban cars and trucks from cities. The vast amounts of food needed to keep the populations of these cities from starving will henceforth be beamed in by Starfleet Command.
The forces of evil stride across the plains of stupidity.
ReplyDeleteA friend and I had a private wager on how long it would take before the jokes about "ban all cars!" would turn into policy proposals. He won. I thought it would take a fourth European vehicle attack.

Oh yes, and since the Borussia Dortmund (Fussball [soccer]) team bus was attacked by "Islamists" [quotation marks in German and British newspapers] yesterday, we need to ban large buses as well.

The soccer bus attack represents a new theme for Europe- using tactics from Iraq and Afghanistan.
ReplyDeleteShould we start a new pool, LR1, on how long it will be until someone actually tries to institute such a ban? Or is the fact that it is actually unworkable strong enough to prevent anyone from being foolish enough to... never mind, who am I kidding? Someone will try it.
ReplyDeleteThe Left will never give up. Evil will never give up. That's because mortal humans can't kill evil.
ReplyDeleteInteresting quandary and problem humanity finds itself in. Even a Divine Flood that wiped out humanity couldn't get rid of evil.
That's because the angels are still... well, people will figure out that one in time.
