My sincerest condolences along with celebrations of great joy. Tough, conflicting emotions, hang in there and don't forget to spoil her every chance you get ;-) nmewn
I am sorry to hear of your Fathers passing. It is a hard blow to deal with. Perhaps some comfort here- when my Mom passed on, she had been laying comatose for a week, at the last, she raised her head with wide open eyes and an expression of pure joy on her face. Wherever she saw on the other side of this life met with full approval and then some.
Catching up after traveling last week to a cousins wedding, only to find this out now.
Congratulations on the birth of your niece- it's a wonderful thing.
I don't know what to say of the death of your father- what can I say that would matter really. Perhaps the only thing is that from what I know of the man through your recollections here, and what I know of you, he had to have been a hell of a man, and it's clear he'll live on in you and his other children in some sense.
My sympathies, Grim.
ReplyDeleteAnd welcome to your baby niece.
And so the cycle of life continues. Sorry for your loss. Welcome to your niece.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a day for whiplash. Congratulations and condolences.
