Indeed, Lake Land plans to replace the two failed turbines with a solar power system paid for by a government grant. “[T]he photovoltaic panels are expected to save the college between $50,000 and $60,000 this year,”Allee told the DCNF.
I know Mattoon. It's a bit far north and in a climate, neither of which suggests solar power ought not be used, but neither of which is optimal for solar power. If they're going to save 50-60 stacks per year, it's only because Government has made coal-fired power so expensive.
