What do we really need? A place to sleep, a place to cook, a place to poop and a place to read. And a nice large well equipped workshop (or three) to spin, weave, weld, turn, mill, saw etc.The ability to produce goods is a wonderful thing.
And a porch to sit upon and watch the sunset at the end of a good day's work whilst drinking a beer or three.0>;~]

The guy is living in a hovel. I've spent enough time in apartments to know I prefer my house.
I prefer my house, too.But then, I can afford my house.
I could live well in half my house. And twice the shop space! Every once in a while I look at a boat to live on and my wife asks where the lathe and mill will go.......
