Bread & Circuses, Day IV

Things are good today. I scouted the roads on foot as far as the state highway, and they're mostly clear after the sun we had today. If you can get down the driveway, you can get where you want. In spite of the ice and snow, we never did lose power. It's been a pretty pleasant interlude, honestly.

How are things for you, Eric Blair?

I was checking out our seasonal totals in the local paper the other day....52" of snow to date. Too bad it all came in 6-8" segments and melted away almost completely each time before the next one rolled through. Yesterday morning, before the clouds burned off, the snow on the roof of our garage was over 10" thick since, thanks to polar spillage, we hadn't really warmed up much between snowstorms. Today, after two days of sunshine and highs above freezing, it's barely an inch, but, hey! we have another major snowstorm due in this weekend!
Oh well, at least we have snow this year.

  2. Yes, well, enjoy your beautiful snowy winter. Next week it'll be 70 here, and I'll be riding my motorcycle. :)

Yes, and your 70 will be accompanied by how much humidity?
    No. Thank. You.
I prefer my *humidity* to fall from the sky in some visible form. My friend, you can keep that stuff that just hangs in the air that you can't get away from no matter where you go.

  4. Don't have to get away from it if you're on the bike. It becomes cool and pleasant, even in summer.

Methinks he's got a bit of snow to shovel.
The BIL lives in Pittsburgh, they are still shovelling...and they have boys.
    Yowsa!
