I've long been pretty detached from local government, as where I am it's been a hopeless situation for so long I haven't had a Republican to vote for in the City Council district or State Assembly in ages. I've realizes that this really is the way it must be done, and I think the Obamacare and education issues have given us openings to draw people to the party. I suppose it also makes sense, as a Conservative, to address issues locally so that we can not let people feel they need to be dealt with 3000 miles away in the insulated hole of depravity that is our nation's capitol.
