The IRS commissioner has been canned.

  1. Keep an eye on him. If he gets picked up soon in a cushy job with left-leaning credentials, we'll know the fix is in.

  2. Especially since he wasn't canned. He was allowed to resign.

  3. Well, sure, but they're nearly always allowed to do that. He was canned.

  4. To me, the real standard is, when they arrest somebody, will that person start singing. Those allowed to quit will probably keep their mouths shut, but someone facing jail time will likely name names.

  5. Anyway, I take it back. He had a temporary appointment that was scheduled to terminate in June, and he told staff members he would be leaving then, not immediately.

I can't believe anyone is still bringing up this old news. The American people want us to move on.

  6. He was going to resign in a couple of weeks, anyway; he just moved up his separation date--or not: ... Miller will remain on the job "for a couple of weeks."

Moreover, Lew's letter to Miller makes it clear that Miller's resignation was purely for optics, and not for performance.

    No canning here.

Indeed. Please do. Pt Barrow has some facilities that would benefit from an experienced administrative team.

Hey! I've got a former high school classmate who works up at Barrow. Please don't make his life any harder than it already is.
