They're exactly what I t...I love those houses. They're exactly what I think houses should look like. A nightmare to maintain, unfortunately, and almost no one knows how to build them any more. The house we built for ourselves has some of the elements I admire from that style, but is much simpler, a coastal-plantation style with a 360-degree porch, up on stilts, as befits this storm-surge area.
