A curious decision by the local Jackson County Chamber of Commerce as to what they wanted to highlight about their community, but who am I to judge? They seemed enthusiastic.
Bikers are a high income demographic. One of the magazines I subscribe to has made made chambers of commerce, and state tourism offices their main ad revenue source.
Roadrunner. And recently Rider. Not chopper type magazines,, but the idea is the same- bikers have money, need places to stay and eat, and bring money into the economy from outside. Roadrunner realized the tourism agencies had ad money to spend, and were not dependent on "sales". They are the only one I know of that seems to have made a go of print these days.
