Some interesting things there. You can see some of the great catastrophes in Asia in the earlier going when the larger cities suddenly decline. Rise of the west with the Industrial revolution, and the current resurrection of Asia and rise of Latin America. I wonder though how much the West seems behind being the result of distributed prosperity (many large cities so fewer mega cities).
