My Pop always called him, 'Double Ugly'. Saw this this morning and immediately said, "Awwwwwww, maaaan!" But then I didn't realize he was 98. Holy cow! A long and well-lived life.

I was interested to read that he fell out with Sergio Leone when he was dropped from Duck, You Sucker / A Fistful of Dynamite in favor of Rod Steiger.
(Much as I likde Wallach I think the studio got that one right. Not that I thought that one was worth more than one look)
