So the solution to "peak oil" is to domesticate whales and slaughter them for their blubber and baleen? I bet I can get government funding for it, if I forget to mention the last step in the process for "Cetaceans-engineered Clean and Renewable Energy Independence." >:)

Why slaughter them? We could market it as whale obesity reduction.
