Gisli's Saga was the first feature length movie produced by Icelanders. I saw it while stationed in Keflivik in the early '80s. It was filmed in Icelandic (which is basically ancient Norse) on location. The rock you see in this video was used in the filming of the Saga. The movie was very powerful. I was especially struck with the scenes of the Norns weaving Gisli's fate. If you can find a copy, I highly recommend that you watch it.
Thank you for the recommendation, sir. I will try to find a copy!
Oh Duh! I forgot to give you the title of the movie. In English, it is "Outlaw" - in Icelandic, "Útlaginn"
